Prevention Fund
WorkSafe’s Prevention Fund supports initiatives that:
- create workplace change or provide information and education to improve workplace health and safety, or
- reduce knowledge gaps.
Who can apply
Worker and employer organisations will be invited to participate in collaborative projects supported through the WorkSafe Prevention Fund.
Priority areas
WorkSafe reviews all applications for funding, but the priority is to fund projects that address significant risk areas such as preventing injuries and fatalities in specific industries. To obtain further information about funding priorities, eligible costs and the application process please read the Prevention Fund guidelines and contact the Health and Safety Grants Manager.
Application process
WorkSafe determines available funding during the annual business planning cycle and therefore funding is limited on a financial year basis.
Prior to making a submission please contact the Health and Safety Grants Manager at prevention_fund@worksafe.vic.gov.au to discuss your proposal and obtain a WorkSafe Prevention Fund application form.
The Health and Safety Grants Manager will provide advice about whether your proposal is likely to meet the WorkSafe Prevention Fund requirements and ensure that your proposal does not duplicate existing or planned work.
