Becoming a Health Care Provider

Medical practitioners and allied health professionals can become registered Health Care Service Providers with WorkSafe and provide services to injured workers.

Medical practitioners

Medical practitioners who are registered with Medicare Australia and provide services approved by WorkSafe will automatically be registered to provide services to injured workers. If amendments to your registration details are required (i.e. practice address, preferred mailing address, telephone number or email address), please complete the Service Provider Registration Application - Medical and Allied Health Services form.

Allied health professionals

Allied healthcare professionals who are registered with Medicare Australia and provide services approved by WorkSafe will automatically be registered to provide services to injured workers. If confirmation of your registration with WorkSafe or amendments to your registration details are required (i.e. practice, preferred mailing address, telephone number or email address), please complete the Service Provider Registration Application - Medical and Allied Health Services form.

Allied healthcare professionals who are not registered with Medicare Australia must complete the Service Provider Registration Application - Medical and Allied Health Services form and provide any relevant supporting documentation with this form.

Payment for healthcare services

WorkSafe can deposit any payments for healthcare services that you have provided to an injured worker directly into a nominated account. If you would like to be paid electronically, please complete the Electronic Funds Transfer Application Form.
